The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader in Tower Hamlets working 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6.00am to 4.00pm.

\n

The pay rate is £13.50 to £15.50 per hour, equating to an annual salary of £33,696 to £38,688, depending on experience.

\n

This is a mobile role covering commercial sites including business parks, residential developments, and public spaces across Tower Hamlets and surrounding areas. You will take day-to-day ownership of site standards, ensure work is completed safely and on schedule, and support operatives to deliver consistent quality.

\n

This role suits an experienced grounds maintenance professional who is ready to take responsibility, organise workloads effectively, and maintain high standards across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n Lead and organise daily grounds maintenance activities \n

Take responsibility for site standards and presentation \n

Supervise operatives to ensure tasks are completed efficiently \n

Carry out pruning, hedge cutting, grass cutting, watering, and seasonal planting \n

Allocate tasks and manage daily site schedules \n

Conduct quality checks and site inspections \n

Ensure Health and Safety procedures and COSHH guidelines are followed \n

Maintain tools, machinery, and vehicles in safe working order \n

Complete timesheets and site documentation accurately \n

Liaise professionally with clients when required \n

Drive between sites and manage route planning \n

Requirements

\n

\n Proven commercial grounds maintenance experience \n

Previous leadership or supervisory experience desirable \n

Full clean UK driving licence essential \n

Strong knowledge of horticultural maintenance practices \n

Organised, reliable, and safety-focused approach \n

PA1 and PA6 certificates but not essential \n
