Grounds Maintenance Team Leader

We are currently looking for a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join Sovini Property Services part of The Sovini Group.

As a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader, you will be expected to:

• Carry out Grounds maintenance works to domestic and communal grassed areas which Sovini Property Services manage.
• Duties amongst other things will include grass cutting, hedge trimming, strumming, pruning and bed work.
• Supervise other team members and manage workloads efficiently.
• Assist in the monitoring and managing of any sub-contractors used.
• Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of all plant and machinery where possible.
• Adhere to contract programmes and ensure target times are achieved.
• Provide regular updates on progress to works completed to management staff.
• Commit to equality and diversity and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
• Adhere with the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.

To be successful in a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader role, the skills you will need:

• Level 2 qualification in Horticulture.
• PA1 and PA6 Qualification.
• Full, clean driving license preferably with category BE allowing you to tow a trailer.
• Please highlight if you have this on the application form.
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised and demonstrate initiative and acceptance of responsibility.
• Excellent organisation skills including the ability to prioritise and manage own workload, meet deadlines and achieve targets.
• Ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels within the organisation and externally.
• A high level of self-motivation, enthusiasm
• Commitment to customer care and the provision of a high-quality service.
• Good overall standard of education.
• Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.
