A global engineering group developing an innovative powertrain unit in collaboration with a number of OEM's has a new vacancy for a Group Engineering Director. Joining at an exciting time of growth, the successful candidate will take full responsibility for leading engineering activities across design, development, and testing within a multi-site organisation. Candidates are sought with a proven track record of setting strategic direction, making critical engineering decisions and a good understanding of engine development.The RoleLead technical operations, including design, R&D, test, and validation.Set the technical direction and strategy, balancing current delivery with long-term innovation and capability development.Lead the full new product lifecycle, including test and validation strategy, certification, and production readiness.Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team.Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Programme Management, and Supply Chain to align engineering efforts with business needs.Drive operational improvements, efficiency gains, and the adoption of best practices.Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning and teamwork.The PersonProven experience in a senior engineering leadership role with a good understanding of engine development.Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and driving change in fast-paced, complex environments.Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is advantageous.Concise, confident communicator capable of building strong internal and external relationships. #J-18808-Ljbffr
