Private Equity–Backed, Multi-Billion Turnover FMCG & Supply Chain Group
Location: Berkshire (2 days per week on site)
Package: £250,000 basic + car + bonus + LTIP
We are partnering a high-performing, private equity–backed FMCG and supply chain group with multi-billion-pound revenues and a complex, international operating model. The business is executing an ambitious value creation plan and is seeking a Group Finance Director to play a central role in shaping its next phase of growth.
This appointment is suited to a commercially sharp, highly driven finance leader who wants greater influence, pace, and ownership than is typically available within a heavily layered corporate environment.
The Opportunity
This is a broad, high-impact Group Finance Director role with meaningful exposure to strategic decision-making, capital allocation, and investor engagement. You will work closely with the Group CFO, CEO, and PE sponsors, taking ownership of critical elements of the value creation agenda and helping position the business for long-term growth and future optionality.
The scope and influence of the role are expected to grow over time, aligned to the performance of the individual and the evolution of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a key partner to the Group CFO, contributing to group financial strategy and execution.
Lead major value creation initiatives, including margin improvement, working capital optimisation, and cash generation
Lead a large team across a multisite remit (50+)
Provide clear, commercial insight to the board and investors across a complex, multi-site operation
Play a leading role in M&A, bolt-on acquisitions, and integration activity
Drive pace and challenge across forecasting, performance management, and capital deployment
Lead finance transformation, systems, and data capability to support scale and complexity
Build and develop a strong, future-focused finance leadership team and champion ‘best in class finance’ across the board.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a high-calibre finance leader from a large, international Plc or PE-backed organisation, with the appetite to operate closer to the centre of decision-making.
You will bring:
Senior finance leadership experience within a multi-billion-pound, international business
A Plc-trained mindset with strong governance, controls, and board-level exposure
A demonstrable track record of driving commercial performance and value
Experience in FMCG, supply chain, manufacturing, or similarly best in class commercial environments
Energy, credibility, and the confidence to influence at executive and investor level
This role will appeal particularly to a Divisional CFO or Group Finance Director within a Plc who is seeking broader scope, faster decision-making, and long-term growth within a PE-backed environment.
£250,000 basic salary (flex for the right candidate)
Annual bonus
Long-term incentive plan aligned to value creation
Berkshire based, with an expectation of two days per week on site
For a sharp, dynamic Plc finance leader looking for a role with genuine influence, long-term progression, and meaningful value creation exposure, this represents a compelling opportunity.
