We are supporting a multi-site services business in the appointment of a Group Finance Manager, based in Milton Keynes (4 days office-based).
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role is responsible for leading the group month-end close, delivering management reporting, and providing high-quality financial insight within a contract-led, operationally focused environment.
A key focus is revenue recognition, WIP, accrued income and margin analysis across multiple service lines, ensuring financial performance accurately reflects operational activity.
You will work closely with operational and contract teams to ensure accurate, timely and well-explained reporting across the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close process across the group
- Produce monthly management accounts and board reporting packs
- Own revenue recognition, WIP, accruals and cost recognition
- Deliver contract and service line margin analysis
- Partner with operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Ensure correct treatment of unbilled revenue, prepayments and adjustments
- Provide clear commentary on performance, variances and key trends
- Support budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis
- Improve month-end processes, controls and reporting quality
- Manage x1 direct report
About You
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong management accounting / reporting experience
- Experience in a contract-led or multi-site services environment
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition, WIP and margin analysis
- Confident business partner with strong stakeholder skills
- Strong Excel and systems capability
- Organised, analytical and comfortable working to tight deadlines
Salary
c£65,000 basic plus full benefits package to include Hybrid working (4 days a week office based)
