Job Description
A leading infrastructure business is seeking to strengthen its Manchester-based finance team with the appointment of a Finance Manager – Group Reporting.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role will lead a small team and take ownership of the Group’s financial reporting and consolidation processes, while playing a key role in budgeting, analysis, and strategic financial planning across an international business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant looking to take on a high-visibility role with exposure to senior leadership and strategic projects.
Responsibilities:
Ownership of Group financial reporting and analysis, including annual and interim reporting in accordance with IFRS. Management of monthly and annual group consolidations. Review and analysis of subsidiary reporting packs, partnering with international finance teams to challenge and improve reporting quality. Support the group budgeting and forecasting cycles. Contribute to the development of investment strategies and financial insights. Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance team. Drive improvements in reporting processes and financial controls.
Essential Skills:
ACA or ACCA qualified accountant Experience owning or managing group reporting processes within an industry environment Strong technical accounting knowledge with IFRS and/or FRS 102 experience Experience working in organisations with significant revenues and/or international operations Confident communicator with the ability to challenge financial information and partner with stakeholders
