OverviewA London-based social housing provider is seeking a permanent Group Financial Accountant to strengthen its finance function.The organisation delivers affordable homes and essential services across its communities, with a strong focus on financial resilience, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. Finance plays a central role in supporting these objectives, and this position will be key in ensuring high-quality financial reporting and robust financial control.ResponsibilitiesPrepare group statutory accounts in line with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Support monthly management reporting, providing clear and accurate financial analysis.Ensure compliance with VAT, tax, and other statutory obligations.Play an active role in year-end close and external audit processes.Review, maintain, and improve financial controls, systems, and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.Provide technical accounting support and guidance within the finance team.Contribute to broader financial reporting, planning, and improvement initiatives as required.The Ideal Candidate Will HaveProven experience in a financial accounting role, ideally within social housing or another regulated or not-for-profit environment.Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP and IFRS.Experience preparing statutory accounts and supporting external audits.The ability to manage multiple deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.Strong communication skills and confidence working with internal and external stakeholders.A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).A proactive approach with a clear interest in improving processes, systems, and controls.Experience supporting finance system improvements or enhancements would be beneficial.What’s on OfferCompetitive salary and benefits packageGenerous annual leave allowanceHybrid working model, combining home working with time in a London officeApplications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and early applications are encouraged.For further details or to apply, please submit your CV to Robertson Bell. #J-18808-Ljbffr
