What Youll Be Doing
As Group Head of Facilities & Estates, youll take full ownership of the strategic and operational management of Agincares estates and facilities, including care homes, offices, and other operational sites.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Strategic Leadership & Estates Planning
Develop and implement the Group Estates & Facilities strategy aligned to commercial and operational priorities
Lead long-term asset planning, capital expenditure forecasting, and estate lifecycle management
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, benchmarking service standards and introducing innovative solutions
Facilities & Maintenance Oversight
Ensure all premises are safe, well-maintained, and fit for purpose
Lead planned and reactive maintenance programmes, managing contractors to deliver cost-effective, high-quality services
Oversee cleaning, space utilisation, grounds maintenance, and building presentation
Compliance and Health & Safety
Act as the Responsible Person for Legionella across all properties
Ensure full statutory compliance, including fire safety, gas, electrical, LOLER, COSHH, water safety, and general H&S
Monitor risks, remedial actions, and major works, reporting to senior leadership and the AHL Board
Capital Projects & Vendor Management
Lead the planning, delivery, and governance of all capital, refurbishment, and construction projects
Manage supplier relationships, ensuring value-for-money and adherence to service standards
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach, and develop the Facilities & Estates team, fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and exceptional service
Carry out regular site visits, training, and mentoring to promote best practices and safe working standards
Reporting & Sustainability
Produce accurate reports on compliance, maintenance activity, asset performance, and sustainability initiatives
Collaborate on ESG and environmental initiatives to reduce Agincares environmental impact
About You
Youll be a confident, organised, and hands-on leader with a strong background in multi-site estates or facilities management. Youll have excellent technical knowledge, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead teams and projects across a large estate. Were looking for someone who:
Has proven experience in a senior facilities, estates, or multi-site property role
Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, health & safety, and risk management
Demonstrates leadership and team development skills, coaching staff to deliver excellent standards
Takes a practical, solution-focused approach to problem-solving
Can communicate clearly and professionally at all levels
Holds relevant qualifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, IWFM or degree)
Hold a full valid UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle
