Due to continued success and future business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Group HR Advisor to join our team based at our Group head office in Barlborough, Chesterfield.

The Role

Reporting to the Group HR Director the successful candidate will be responsible for providing an advice and guidance service to our employees and managers, with a willingness to carry out general administrative tasks and duties which form a part of the generalist HR Advisor role.

This is an exciting and varied role, which will provide an opportunity for a knowledgeable HR professional to join our Group HR team, who have responsibility for activity across the full HR spectrum, within a dynamic and fast paced business.

Key duties and requirements

You will also be responsible for but not limited to;

Ensuring the business manages its people appropriately, adopting best practice and comply with the company values and employment legislation, mitigating any risks to the business.
Providing advice and guidance on people related issues to our regional businesses and group functions.
Responsibility for case work including managing disciplinaries, grievances, employment tribunals and collective and/or individual consultations.
Coaching, supporting and challenging managers in the application of HR policies and procedures.
Supporting our regional businesses and group functions in ensuring employee absenteeism is monitored and reported on a monthly basis and any issues are dealt with at the earliest opportunity.
Supporting the delivery of the health & wellbeing agenda, whilst also managing the relationship with the Occupational Health provider in respect of health assessments and safety critical medicals.
Supporting the delivery of reward and benefits activities.
Working closely with Payroll in relation to HR and Payroll processing.
Supporting the team with general HR administration including drafting Offer Letters/Contracts of Employment and administering the new starter and leaver processes.
Building strong and effective working relationships with the regional management teams.Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate proven experience within an operational HR environment, with a focus on employee relations in particular.

You will be a self-sufficient HR Advisor with the ability to provide excellent written and verbal communication, build effective working relationships and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment is an essential part of this role. We are open to applications from HR Advisors who may be a little earlier on in their career, and keen to develop their knowledge further or HR Advisors with a little more experience who have either experience within our industry or similar sectors.

To be considered for this role you must also possess:

A full driving licence
Current employment law and legislation knowledge
CIPD level 5 qualified - desirable
Extensive knowledge and application of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
The ability to work under your own initiative and manage time effectively
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload with excellent attention to detail
A flexible and adaptable approach to changing requirements. What will you get in return?
