Distinct Group is a British-based hotel collection with properties located in the historic towns of Stevenage, Bedford and Rugby, with a fourth hotel due to open shortly in Coventry. Each property is rooted in heritage and individuality, with a strong focus on service, design, style and authenticity.
We are looking for a Group Sales and Marketing Manager to join our central team. The role is responsible for developing and delivering a proactive, structured sales and marketing strategy across the group. The role has a strong focus on planning ahead, managing the wider commercial picture and ensuring that clear, realistic plans are created, communicated and followed.
Working closely with Hotel Managers, on-site Sales and Events Managers, and the Marketing and Communications team, the role is key to driving future demand across bedrooms, food and beverage and events.
The ideal candidate will be structured and organised, commercially aware and data-driven, with a collaborative approach that brings teams together around a shared plan.
THE ROLE:
Develop, own and deliver a clear group-wide sales and marketing plan
Create future-focused strategic sales plans, tactics and profit targets aligned with company objectives
Identify future opportunities, gaps in demand and areas for growth
Plan campaigns, promotions and special offers well in advance
Attend and contribute to regular commercial strategy meetings
Ensure all sites clearly understand group commercial objectives
Work with sites to ensure plans are realistic, deliverable and achievable
Regularly review performance against plan and adapt strategy where required
Carry out competitor and market analysis for each property
Monitor local and regional market trends and use insight to inform strategy
Support commercial decision-making through data and analysis
Work with individual sites to develop strategies to increase footfall in brasseries, bars and other outlets
Support the forward planning of food and beverage promotions and offers
Ensure activity is aligned with wider commercial objectives
Manage the relationship with the groups outsourced SEO provider
Maintain a strong working understanding of SEO to guide content and assess performance
Oversee brand positioning across websites and blog activity
Develop and implement a clear strategy to improve Google visibility and search rankings across the group
Work closely with Hotel Managers to align commercial strategy with operational delivery
Collaborate with on-site Sales Managers and Events Managers
Maintain a strong working relationship with the Marketing and Communications Manager, particularly around content creation, social media and rewards club activity
Keep up to date with industry trends and best practice
