We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Events & Groups Manager to join our team and provide a first-class service to our clients and guests. Your Role: As our Events & Groups Sales Manager , you will take a pivotal role in leading and inspiring the Events & Groups Sales team. With responsibility for promoting and selling our exceptional event facilities to both domestic and international clients, your goal is to deliver a truly personalised guest journeyfrom first enquiry to flawless execution. Youll bring passion, commercial acumen, and a deep knowledge of Londons dynamic events scene, along with the confidence and charisma needed to represent Hotel Café Royal at the highest level. With a hands-on approach, youll work closely with the Head of Events to implement strategies that maximise revenue, manage inventory, and maintain consistently high service standards across all group and event bookings. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Groups & Events Sales team, ensuring consistent delivery of world-class service and seamless event coordination. Act as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients and partners, building strong relationships and personalised experiences. Drive revenue through strategic account management, effective yield management, and proactive selling of event spaces and group accommodations. Maintain in-depth knowledge of all hotel offerings, event spaces, and F&B packages to confidently present tailored solutions to clients. Oversee group booking logistics, including contracts, deposits, room allocations, and event coordination in collaboration with operations teams. Monitor trends and competitor activity within the London events market to inform pricing, promotions, and strategic planning. Collaborate with Revenue and Sales teams to manage rates, availability, and forecasting in line with budgeted targets. Support the Head of Events in executing annual events strategies and marketing initiatives. Champion a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team through coaching, training, and hands-on support. Your Profile: A proven track record as an Events Manager or Groups & Events Sales Manager , ideally within a luxury hotel, events venue, or high-end restaurant. Natural leadership skills with the ability to coach, inspire and develop a team. Strong commercial mindset with experience in revenue management, forecasting, and budgeting. Genuine passion for hospitality and a flair for delivering bespoke guest experiences. Confident communicator with the ability to engage with VIP guests, corporate clients, and stakeholders at all levels. Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Sound knowledge of the London events and hospitality landscape. A strong understanding of luxury F&B services, with a passion for food, wine, and event presentation. Experience using Opera PMS, Delphi, or other hotel sales systems is desirable.
