Job Description: Engineer - Product Hardware Engineering

Product Hardware Engineering is the department responsible for the development and implementation of hardware solutions to meet customer requirements. This includes designing new products from concept through to production release, as well as supporting existing product designs with modifications or upgrades.

What You’ll Do

The Role – Hardware Engineer

Reporting to the Hardware Lead, the Hardware Engineer will primarily support engineering test and verification efforts for developing TV products intended for the global market.The ideal candidate will be adept at understanding and interpreting schematics and layout designs, and familiar with key communication interfaces such as DDR, SPI, I2C, etc. Strong troubleshooting skills using measurement equipment like oscilloscopes and multimeters are essential for debugging issues. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate strong soft skills, including collaboration and communication, to effectively work with internal teams to resolve and support issues. Test support will be required both on-site and off-site.

What You’ll Bring

Roles and Responsibilities:

• RF knowledge and appreciation, particularly Wi-Fi and BT technologies
• Familiarity with engineering software such as Altium, LT Spice, and terminal programs
• Able to work independently and on own initiative once tasks have been allocated
• Comfortable using test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers etc.
• Works closely with other departments within the organisation, for example software engineering and project management teams
• Document and present test results and findings using Microsoft tools and other relevant software
• Provides technical assistance whenever requested either internally or externally via teams and emails etc.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to independently problem solve

Desirable

• Python or other coding experience for automation or test setups
• Relevant industry experience
• FPGA design
