A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head Chef to take the reins of a classical French kitchen at one of London’s most respected members club. Known for its elegant menus, seasonal produce, and technical finesse, this role is perfect for a chef who thrives in a structured, quality-focused environment and has a deep understanding of French culinary tradition.

As Head Chef, you’ll oversee every aspect of the kitchen operation — from service execution and team management to stock, systems, and menu development. This is a hands-on leadership role in a high-standard, busy restaurant where consistency, calm authority, and attention to detail are key.

You’ll be leading a skilled brigade of chefs who share your passion for precision, presentation, and classical technique , and you’ll have the chance to evolve a menu rooted in timeless French dishes with modern, seasonal touches.

• Lead, train, and inspire the kitchen team in line with classical French standards
• Maintain precision, quality, and consistency across all sections and services
• Collaborate on menu development, drawing from regional and classical French traditions
• Oversee all kitchen systems including ordering, rotas, stock management, and GP control
• Uphold all food hygiene, health & safety, and due diligence responsibilities
• Be present and visible during service, setting the tone for pace, calmness, and execution
• Foster a respectful, supportive kitchen culture built on excellence and discipline

About You:

• Proven experience as Head Chef or strong Senior Sous within a premium French or fine dining kitchen
• Deep understanding of classical French techniques and flavour profiles
• Calm, structured leadership style with a passion for mentoring and team development
• High-level knowledge of compliance, stock control, and kitchen systems
• Standards-driven and hands-on – you lead from the front, not the pass
• Strong communicator, committed to collaboration with both BOH and FOH
• Confident managing a fast-paced service with elegance and precision
