Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety standards, and team management are maintained at the highest level. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in menu development, staff supervision, and maintaining a vibrant, efficient kitchen environment. Duties Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring smooth daily operations Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of quality and presentation Develop innovative menus in line with current trends and customer preferences Manage food production schedules to meet service times efficiently Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory to minimise waste Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area Uphold hospitality standards by supporting serving staff during busy periods when necessary Experience Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment Extensive food production and culinary experience across diverse cuisines Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively Demonstrable expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards Experience in leading a kitchen team with excellent leadership qualities Familiarity with managing restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service excellence This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated culinary professional to showcase their leadership skills whilst delivering outstanding dining experiences.
