The business caters to a wide range of customers, including regular dining, seasonal trade, and private functions, requiring strong leadership and excellent organisational skills.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day management of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient operationsLead, motivate, and develop the kitchen team, maintaining high standards at all timesDesign, implement, and update menus twice yearly, focusing on fresh, high-quality dishesPlan and execute food offerings for a variety of functions and eventsManage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships, including negotiating costsEnsure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulationsAdapt kitchen operations in line with seasonal and weather-dependent demandMaintain strong cost control, including GP margins and waste managementIdeal CandidateProven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step upStrong leadership and team management skillsExperience working in a fresh food, high-volume pub or similar environmentCommercially aware with experience in cost control and supplier negotiationCreative approach to menu developmentHighly organised, particularly with planning for events and functionsFlexible and able to manage varying demand levelsWhats on OfferCompetitive salary of £40K£45K depending on experienceOpportunity to lead a kitchen within a respected independent businessCreative input into menu development and kitchen directionSupportive working environment with autonomy in your roleIf youre a passionate and experienced chef looking for your next leadership role within a dynamic and growing venue, this is an excellent opportunity to make your mark.JBRP1_UKTJ
