Head Chef – Premium French restaurant | Central London | £60,000–£70,000

PRS Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with an exciting Central London restaurant in the search for a talented and driven Head Chef to lead the kitchen into its next chapter.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced Head Chef with a strong background in high-end London dining and a genuine passion for exceptional produce. Following the departure of the current chef, the business is seeking a true leader who can elevate standards, refine the offering, and take full ownership of the kitchen.

The Concept

A vibrant restaurant inspired by French and New York dining culture, with a menu leaning toward the French/Mediterranean style. The kitchen delivers a mix of:

  • A la carte service
  • Events menus
  • Canapés

The site currently caters for around 100 covers (up to 140 at peak) and has strong potential for further growth.

The Role

As Head Chef, you will:

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a team of 8–9 kitchen staff
  • Take full responsibility for menu development and continuous improvement
  • Drive standards across quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Oversee kitchen operations, organisation, and maintenance
  • Take ownership of supplier relationships and sourcing, ensuring only the best produce is used
  • Play a key role in recruiting and building your team

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef in high-end London restaurants
  • Strong background in French restaurant or similar cuisine
  • A true passion for product-led cooking — Product, Product, Product is at the heart of this role
  • Expertise in seasonal sourcing and supplier management
  • A hands-on leader who can raise standards and deliver excellence consistently
  • Experience across both high-volume service and events catering

The Offer
