The classic proportions, arched windows and Georgian brick exteriors matched with elegant interiors create a feel of a private home Role Overview: The Head Housekeeper assists the Executive Housekeeper in managing the overall direction and operations of the Department. They shall be required to develop specific goals policies and strategies for the Housekeeping department which shall be implemented through correct planning, organizing and training, whilst also ensuring that high standards, quality and maximum profitability is aimed for at all times. What you will do: As Head Housekeeper you will work closely with the Executive Housekeeper to ensure the smooth running of the department. Control labour costs; ensuring the labour requirements are appropriate to the levels of business, and rotas are planned with sufficient flexibility to cope with variations in demand. Assist in control of Housekeeping operating stocks, and in the control of Hotel uniforms Conduct trainings and ensure that hotel policies and procedures including health and safety requirements are adhered to. Assist in recruitment for the housekeeping department Hold daily briefings and regular meetings to communicate important information to the team Make yourself available to the team when assistance is needed, and take necessary action when required Who you are: Minimum of 1 years experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor in a 4/5 * property Excellent spoken and written English Polite, professional, friendly and confident in approach IT literate, comfortable working with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), Opera and Triton to name but a few Ability to remain calm under pressure by being well organized, and able to juggle priorities comfortably.
