Head Motor Mechanic / Engineer

The successful candidate will be joining our family run business.

You will be responsible for servicing, general maintenance, repairs, managing work schedules on our fleet of vans and staff. You will also be expected to be hands on as well performing managerial duties. We expect candidates to be organised and punctual, ensuring that the vans are serviced and fixed in a timely manner. Making sure staff are also keeping to the timescale we require when working.

_Duties will include, but not limited to:_

· Carrying out routine servicing & vehicle health checks to the highest standards

· Diagnosing and fault finding

· Undertaking various repairs, from minor maintenance to in depth work

. Managing the staff and organisation of the day to day running of the garage

Good record keeping is essential.

experience of working with private light goods vehicles

expected to keep accurate records of all work carried out

expected cover break down recovery if necessary

our vehicles have additional mechanical and electrical auxiliary equipment fitted that will require maintaining and repairing.

*Abilities and Experience:*

· Managerial experience is required

· Applicants must have proven experience as vehicle mechanic

· Applicants must have a full Driving Licence

· Skills must include welding and use of diagnostics equipment

· We do have a well-equipped workshop however Applicants must have their own hand tools

· Applicants must have a working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods

· Applicants must have the ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment

· Applicants must be capable of working alone with limited supervision and managing work loads and staff

· Applicants must have good communication skills both verbally and written.

· Preferably experienced in 12v inverter systems

· Applicants must have excellent organisation skills and experience working in a fast-paced environment.

· Mechanical: 10 year’s experience (Required)
