We’re Hiring: Head of Bid Management – Swindon (OR Bid Director)

We’re seeking an experienced Head of Bid Management to lead, inspire, and drive excellence across our bid function. • Salary: £100,000 – £110,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience)

Why This Role Matters:

You’ll lead a team of Bid Managers, Estimators, Bid Coordinators, and Writers, working closely with Sector Directors, Commercial Leads, and other senior stakeholders. Your mission? Ensure bids are delivered on time, to the highest standard, and aligned with strategic objectives—while fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, innovation, and collaboration.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead, motivate, and energize multiple bid teams.
• Collaborate across the business to influence, remove barriers, and drive bid success.
• Develop and implement robust bid strategies aligned with sector and organizational goals.
• Proactively identify challenges and provide creative solutions that maximize success.
• Champion continuous improvement in bid processes, quality, and team development.
• Manage resources effectively, including recruitment, budgeting, and training initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven leadership experience in bid or work-winning management within the UK construction or civil engineering sector.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of procurement legislation and contract types.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to engage senior stakeholders confidently.
• A hands-on, self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple high-value bids concurrently.
