Role Overview
This is a high-impact, senior leadership role responsible for building and governing the commercial framework that drives profitable growth across all digital channels in the UK and Europe.
You will own commercial strategy, margin governance, pricing architecture, channel profitability, marketplace commercial modelling, and the commercial infrastructure that enables scalable growth across 18,000+ SKUs.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Channel Ownership
Own commercial performance across all digital sales channels
Define channel strategies, growth priorities and profitability thresholds
Implement pricing alignment and prevent cross-channel conflict
Build structured promotional and discount governance frameworks
Margin Architecture & Pricing Governance
Own margin ladders, discount structures and commercial pricing tiers
Manage competitive pricing policies and repricing guardrails
Model contribution margin across 18,000+ SKUs
Approve promotional frameworks and pricing changes
European Marketplace Expansion
Lead commercial modelling for Amazon EU and wider marketplace rollout
Define FBA vs SWA strategies and cross-border trading economics
Model VAT, fee structures and EU profitability
Ensure scalable, profitable European growth
Category & Supplier Commercial Integration
Partner with Buying & Category teams to align margin and range strategy
Set category margin targets and evaluate new category opportunities
Develop bundling, private-label and exclusivity commercial models
Integrate supplier funding, rebates and promotional support into channel plans
Growth & Governance
Own contribution margin reporting and commercial KPIs
Define ROAS and acquisition profitability thresholds
Lead trading reviews across channels
Build customer lifetime value and profitability frameworks
Ensure Prime/Premium KPIs remain commercially sustainable
Required Experience
Senior commercial leadership within multi-channel eCommerce
Proven success scaling Amazon/marketplace operations beyond £20m
Strong understanding of pricing architecture across large product catalogues
Experience trading across both UK and Europe
Track record of delivering profitable growth
Skills & Capabilities
Advanced commercial modelling (Excel and analytical capability)
Deep understanding of Amazon economics and fee structures
Confident, credible communicator at board level
Strategic thinker with hands-on operational competence
Able to influence across Buying, Category, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance
