Head of Commercial - Building Services

Pay: £140,000, plus bonus, car allowance, pension and family healthcare

We are excited to say we are now looking for a Head of Commercial for one of our most prestigious and well-respected clients in the MEP Building Services industry.

Due to several contract wins they now require someone who has worked their way up from perhaps a QS type role to Commercial Director level ideally in this industry.

Similar industries such as Civil Engineering will of course still be considered.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for overseeing the successful completion of multiple installation projects from contract award to final account, including:


  • Be responsible for high levels of profit and loss on each project
  • Take overall responsibility for the Commercial Team
  • Manage subordinates
  • Complete and discuss MEP monthly cost reports with the Directors
  • Oversee the procurement of suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Maximise contract values
  • Continuous profit monitoring throughout the project


Qualifications/Key Skills:


• A Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar is highly desirable.

• Solid understanding of the commercial process and financial matters

• A strong background in MEP Building Services or Civil Engineering within a commercial/QS position

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
