Head of Content Acquisition, Global StudiosYou will play a key role in developing our third‑party content strategy from a commercial perspective. Working with the sales team, you will identify the content needed to grow podcast revenues and build an acquisition strategy around it. Your passion for podcasts, deep market understanding and experience in sales leadership focused on new business generation will be essential. You will help shape our reach beyond the show and ensure a deep appreciation for what makes a podcast successful.ResponsibilitiesScouting, watching, listening (20%) – Stay current on new podcast launches, talent moves, competitors and partnerships. Lead the team in building a pipeline of content, network in the industry, attend events, and position Global Studios as the premier destination for podcast talent.Pitching and Negotiating (40%) – Use a seller‑type attitude to navigate complex negotiations with agents and creators. Secure commercial and contractual terms that benefit both Global and creators, and explore future IP & production opportunities to secure long‑term partnerships.Strategy (20%) – Leverage audience behavior, market trends and advertiser demand to craft a clear, insight‑driven new business strategy. Gain buy‑in from internal stakeholders and be ready to support or challenge existing approaches.Internal Collaboration (20%) – Work closely with the Global Studios team, the originals team, and other key stakeholders to understand commercial considerations and foster collaboration.Success in the First Few MonthsFormulate and lead a commercially‑sound content strategy with company buy‑in.Establish yourself as a trusted leader within the podcast team.Secure significant new business wins for Global Studios.What You’ll Need5+ years of experience in sales or new‑business leadership, ideally in the content industry.A strategic approach to decision‑making.Ability to distil complex technical and commercial data into clear, actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.Proven track record of building and maintaining long‑term strategic partnerships that deliver mutual value.Experience managing complex negotiations and contracts, with strong attention to detail.Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with a consultative approach.Exceptional prioritisation and decision‑making abilities focused on strategic outcomes.Commitment to creating an inclusive environment welcoming diverse views.Broad understanding of ad‑tech systems and processes, with troubleshooting skills.
