This is a hands on leadership role, with accountability for turning strategy into production ready analytics, optimisation and software solutions that materially improve engineering performance.What you'll doLead and develop large, high performing delivery teams providing engineering decision intelligence capabilitiesOwn the product strategy, delivery and solution architecture for core engineering decision intelligence systemsDeliver production ready AI, optimisation software and decision support tools across engineering planning horizonsDrive step change improvements in operational performance, productivity, cost efficiency and customer outcomesDesign and deliver modern data platforms and products, creating a single source of truth and consistent optimisation logicMake trade offs across competing KPIs explicit and influence outcomes across multiple directoratesDrive continuous improvement through automation, digitalisation and modern delivery practicesEmbed analytics led decision making and integrated operations into engineering ways of workingWork directly with senior stakeholders to align delivery with business strategy and prioritiesWhat you'll bring to British AirwaysStrong hands on experience leading digital, data and analytics driven delivery in complex engineering or operational environmentsPractical understanding of how analytics, optimisation and software solutions are built, deployed and operated in productionConfidence engaging on product strategy, delivery and architectural decisionsExceptional influencing and relationship building capability at senior leadership levelStrong delivery focus with the ability to balance immediate operational needs with long term strategyCalm, resilient leadership style suited to complex, high pressure environmentsAbility to translate complex analytical and technical concepts into clear, actionable decisionsYour experienceDeep knowledge of airline engineering operations and the drivers of performanceExperience optimising across airline engineering or operational departmentsDirect experience delivering production ready decision support softwareStrong working knowledge of airline technology and operational systemsExperience leading large product and delivery teams in an agile environmentProven ability to manage complex portfolios with many parallel initiativesTrack record of driving large scale change and continuous improvementWhat we offerWe believe that all the people who work with us should feel valued for the part they play.
