Hybrid | City of London

Perm Role | £140,000 - £170,000

C#, .NET, SQL, AWS, React, Docker, Kubernetes | Middle & Back Office Platforms


Harrington Starr has partnered with a leading financial technology firm operating at the core of the investment lifecycle, delivering advanced platforms that support complex asset classes across global markets.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced engineering leader with strong knowledge of middle and back-office systems, particularly within environments supporting private credit, bonds, or broader fixed income products.


The Role

  • Lead and scale engineering teams responsible for building and enhancing core middle and back-office platforms
  • Own the architecture and delivery of systems covering data management, workflows, and operational controls
  • Drive platform scalability, resilience, and regulatory readiness across critical systems
  • Partner closely with Product, Operations, and client-facing teams to translate business requirements into robust technology solutions
  • Mentor senior engineers and engineering managers while embedding strong delivery standards and technical discipline


What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience within C# engineering environments
  • Strong understanding of middle and back-office investment platforms
  • Experience working with private credit, fixed income, bonds, or related asset classes
  • Track record of delivering data-intensive, workflow-driven platforms within regulated financial environments
  • Ability to align technical strategy with business needs and client requirements
