We need leaders to take us on the journey.This is a key leadership role with the Council – that oversees and manages all aspects of the Council’s physical space, at civic offices and other locations, and is responsible for developing an informed and current picture of our physical assets. You will support the maintenance of an efficient and safe working environment, that in turn supports the delivery of high-quality services to our customers. Responsible for hard and soft facilities management, you will lead an in-house team, as well as quality assuring the performance of external contractors. You will ensure that appropriate systems and management controls are in place across the estate to monitor performance and ensure adherence to relevant health & safety and wider statutory compliance. This will include the production of regular reports to senior officers on agreed key performance indicators. With a keen focus on customer services, you will provide a proactive tenant service responding to questions/requests/problems in a timely manner.ResponsibilitiesLead an in-house facilities management team and quality assure the performance of external contractors.Maintain an efficient and safe working environment to support delivery of high-quality services.Oversee hard and soft facilities management across multiple sites and locations.Establish systems and controls to monitor performance, health and safety, and statutory compliance.Produce regular reports to senior officers on agreed key performance indicators.Provide proactive, customer-focused tenant services and respond to questions, requests, and problems in a timely manner.QualificationsSignificant experience of leading FM services in a multi-site and multi-disciplinary setting.Relevant professional qualification.Versatile skillset including leadership, strategic planning, and operational management with responsibilities such as budgeting, maintenance, repairs, renovations, compliance with safety and legal regulations, and managing facilities teams and/or contractors.Excellent working knowledge of Health and Safety Management systems and statutory/regulatory requirements.Strong people and performance management skills and ability to promote a professional, customer-centric culture.How to applyVisit www.redbridgenextlevel.co.uk to apply.
