We are currently recruiting for a rapidly growing multi site retail operation (>1000 sites in UK and turnover in excess of £4bn) in St Albans. They require an interim Head of Finance Operations for a fixed term of 6 months, starting immediately. You will be leading the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger/Billing teams and reporting directly to the Finance Director (finance operations). For all areas of responsibility, the Head of Fin Ops is required to ensure that Ledger balances are well managed and and associated balance sheet control accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis. A key part of the role will be managing and motivating a high performing team of 16 staff (2 direct reports - AP and AR Supervisors), so leadership and communication skills will need to be excellent. You will need substantial experience of leading high volume, complex processing teams and a good understanding of the trading account process, accounting reconciliation techniques and Balance Sheet Control Accounts.
