Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with one of the UK's most exciting sustainable sports and retail brands to recruit a Head of Finance.

\n

Backed by a leading consumer VC fund, the business is redefining performance wear for the modern consumers, combining technical innovation with uncompromising sustainability. Built by a mission-driven team of creatives, athletes, and environmental advocates, the brand has scaled rapidly through its D2C channels and strategic retail partnerships, with turnover now in the multi-millions.

Following a successful fundraise, the company is strengthening its leadership team with the hire of a commercially minded and hands-on Head of Finance. Reporting directly to the Founder and working closely with the wider leadership team, this is a pivotal hire as the business enters its next stage of growth.

\n

\n

The role offers a clear pathway to Finance Director and is ideal for someone excited by the challenge of scaling a purpose-led, product-focused brand from the inside out.

\n

The Role:

\n

\n Own financial strategy, forecasting, and cash flow planning \n

Business partner with the Founder on strategic decision-making and growth planning \n

Lead month-end close, management reporting, and board/investor packs \n

Drive budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis to support key initiatives \n

Develop and track KPIs that inform performance across product, marketing, and operations \n

Strengthen financial processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure \n

Support with fundraising, investor comms, and due diligence \n

Build and lead a small but high-performing finance team \n

\n

\n

What We're Looking For (Essential):

\n

\n Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) \n

Experience in a senior finance role (e.g. Head of Finance, Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager or Finance Director) \n

Strong commercial acumen and a hands-on approach \n

Track record of building or improving finance functions in high-growth environments \n

Experience working closely with Founders and/or Investors \n

Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams \n

\n

\n

What We'd Love to See (Bonus):

\n

\n Experience in retail, fashion, D2C, or FMCG in a business launched in international markets. \n

Experience of NPD and budgeting processes around bringing new products to market \n

Multi-entity experience / Multi-currency would be ideal \n

A passion for sustainability and purpose-led businesses \n

Exposure to VC- or PE-backed environments \n

Salary: £90,000-105,000 + share options / bonus

Work format: WFH on Monday/Friday and offices based Tuesday to Thursday in North London offices
