Head of Finance

We are looking to recruit a Head of Finance for a successful and growing family-owned business, operating in the multi-site leisure sector.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Strategic Financial Planning: Produce annual budgets, and updated forecasts for the business. - Financial Reporting: Produce monthly management accounts, annual reports, and variance analyses for the Shareholders/Senior Management. Produce key performance reports. - Compliance & Governance: Ensure accurate financial records, manage the annual audit process, and comply with tax and statutory requirements. - Financial oversight: Manage daily finance operations including payroll, working capital and cash management, and bank reconciliations. Manage relationship with bank. - Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance department - a team of three full timers - to ensure that processing and reconciliations are kept up to date. - Decision Support: Provide analytical insights for business development, cost savings, and investment opportunities.
The candidate
- Experienced Head of Finance or Finance Business Partner. - CIMA or ACCA qualified ( or part- qualified if practical experience is suitable) - Experience in multi site leisure sector is desirable but not essential. - Experience: Proven experience in senior financial roles, including team management. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software. The company uses Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. Experience of this system would be desirable but not essential. Proficiency in MS Excel is expected. - Inter personal skills: Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
