Blair West are supporting Dale Power Solutions, to find a Head of Finance. Dale Power Solutions is a well-established UK business operating within the power and energy sector, delivering engineered solutions to a diverse customer base. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Finance Director, positioned at the heart of strategic and operational decision-making. The role represents a key appointment within the finance function, strengthening leadership capability and enhancing long-term financial planning as the business continues to grow.The opportunity:Lead long-term financial planning, partnering with the Finance Director and wider Leadership Team to shape business strategy and sustainable growth.Own the production and distribution of the monthly Management Information pack, including group consolidation and clear performance commentary.Maintain and develop a rolling 12-month P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecast, alongside refinement of the long-term financial model.Take accountability for the annual budgeting process, driving alignment across departments.Lead Financial Planning & Analysis activity, including KPI development, trend analysis and actionable profit improvement initiatives.Oversee Treasury and Working Capital management, including 13-week cashflow forecasting and optimisation of WIP and trading performance.Drive cross-functional performance improvement initiatives, using financial insight to influence operational efficiency and profitability.Lead year-end audit and financial due diligence processes, maintaining strong relationships with banks, auditors, investors and advisors.Provide leadership and development to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and succession planning.You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:An ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification with substantial post-qualification experience.A strong track record in financial reporting, management accounting and FP&A within a complex environment.Experience operating in manufacturing, engineering or energy-related sectors.Demonstrable experience influencing senior stakeholders and contributing to strategic decision-making.Proven leadership experience with responsibility for developing and mentoring finance teams.Expert-level Excel capability and experience using Power BI or comparable BI tools.Experience managing treasury, cashflow forecasting and working capital optimisation.Exposure to system and process improvements, including finance-related IT or FP&A platform implementation.Experience supporting audit processes, financial controls and regulatory compliance.The benefits included with this opportunity:Senior leadership role with direct impact on business strategy and performance.Competitive salary of c.£80k with a comprehensive benefits package.Hybrid working arrangement with on-site presence in Scarborough.Opportunity to shape and enhance long-term financial strategy within a growing UK business.High visibility role with exposure to investors, advisors and senior stakeholders.Our commitmentBlair West is an equal-opportunity employer.
