Search are supporting the recruitment of a Head of Finance based in Stirling with hybrid and flexible working. This senior leadership role sits at the heart of the organisation, providing strategic direction across Finance, People, Governance, Compliance and Corporate Services. You'll lead a multi disciplinary team and play a pivotal part in shaping organisational resilience, culture and long term sustainability.
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you'll partner closely with the CEO, Board and wider organisation to drive excellence across financial strategy, people management, governance structures, and operational support functions.
Key Responsibilities: * Lead the organisation's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and long term financial strategy * Provide strategic advice to the CEO and Board on financial performance, governance, controls, and risk management * Oversee core financial operations including AP, AR and banking * Lead, mentor and develop the Finance and Corporate Services teams * Ensure compliance with all statutory, legislative, regulatory and internal control requirements * Develop and implement policies and processes that strengthen governance and organisational management * Lead administrative support functions, ensuring high quality corporate service delivery * Oversee ICT strategy, systems, infrastructure and external IT provider relationships * Lead GDPR compliance and ensure effective data governance * Manage the organisational strategic risk register and business continuity planning * Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, regulators and funders * Support preparation of Board reports and engage with Board sub groups * Contribute to strategic leadership initiatives and deputise for the CEO when required
Skills and experience that will benefit your application: * Proven experience in financial strategy, planning, management and reporting * Strong understanding of charity governance, compliance and risk management * Experience delivering core finance operations and leading audits/statutory accounts * Experience managing HR, IT, data or corporate services functions * Ability to develop and implement organisational policies * Strong people leadership and team development capability * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including Board level reporting * Strong analytical ability, judgement and decision making skills * Highly organised, adaptable and solutions focused
