Description

Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies within the public sector.
Provide accurate and timely financial reports to support decision-making.
Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with auditors.
Develop and implement financial strategies for long-term sustainability.
Manage the finance team, providing guidance and support as needed.
Identify and mitigate financial risks within the organisation.
Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with organisational objectives.Profile

A successful Head of Finance should have:

A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Proven expertise in managing financial operations within a Local Authority housing function.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements (HRA).
Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Offer

Competitive daily rate between £700 and £750.
1-2 days in site
