We are partnering with a well-established, forward-thinking manufacturing organisation in Derby to appoint a Head of Financial Reporting. The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will lead all aspects of financial reporting, compliance, and control, while developing a high-performing finance team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Owning monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles
Leading statutory accounts preparation and year-end audits
Acting as the main point of contact for auditors and tax advisors
Overseeing treasury, cashflow, and debt compliance reporting
Strengthening internal controls and governance frameworks
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
Managing tax compliance and HMRC relationships
Producing high-quality reports and board-level documentation
Leading, mentoring, and developing the financial reporting team
Supporting pension and payroll-related finance activities

About You
You will be a confident, credible finance professional with strong technical expertise and leadership capability.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
ACA or ACCA qualification (FCA/FCCA desirable)
35+ years post-qualification experience
Strong background in IFRS and statutory reporting
Proven experience managing audits and external stakeholders
Track record of leading and developing finance teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail with commercial awareness
Strong systems and ERP knowledge
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or asset-heavy environments will be highly advantageous.
