Head of FP&A

Location: London | Hybrid (2–3 days in office)

A leading independent UK-based consultancy specialising in pensions, investment, and advisory services is seeking a Head of FP&A to join its high-performing finance team.

With a long-established market presence and a strong client base across major UK corporates, the business is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation, including an anticipated private equity transition in the near term.

This position will enable you to have direct exposure to senior leadership and the board. You will lead central FP&A activities while playing a key role in shaping financial strategy and supporting business performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading board reporting and central FP&A processes
  • Acting as a strategic business partner to senior stakeholders
  • Supporting the onboarding of a private equity sponsor
  • Delivering high-quality financial insights and storytelling (including PowerBI outputs)
  • Working closely with senior partners on strategic initiatives
  • Managing and developing a direct report

An ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong FP&A background with confidence operating at senior level
  • Experience in, or understanding of, a private equity-backed environment
  • Ability to translate data into clear, compelling insights
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering skills
  • Professional services experience is beneficial but not essential
