Global Accounting Network is partnering with a global consumer business to appoint a Head of FP&A on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave within a high-performing finance function.

This is a senior leadership role within a fast-moving international organisation currently going through a significant period of transformation. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing group FP&A processes while partnering closely with senior leadership to drive insight and support strategic decision-making.

The position is expected to start in mid-April, allowing for a comprehensive handover before the current post-holder begins maternity leave in June.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the group FP&A function, overseeing month-end reporting, budgeting, and forecasting cycles.
  • Consolidate financial reporting across multiple international markets including Europe, UK & Ireland, and Canada.
  • Partner with regional Finance Directors to understand market performance and translate financial results into clear insight for the CFO and CEO.
  • Manage and develop a team of three FP&A professionals (2 Senior Analysts and 1 Analyst).
  • Support ongoing finance transformation and process improvement initiatives across the FP&A function.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience operating at Head of FP&A level, ideally within global consumer, product, or technology businesses.
  • Strong background working in matrix organisations with multi-market reporting structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to step into interim leadership roles and quickly add value in fast-changing environments.
  • Experience driving process improvements within FP&A, with exposure to data tools or AI-enabled planning processes considered advantageous.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience presenting insights to C-suite leadership.
