You’ll fit right in. We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Head of FP&A to join our team. This role is based at our Head Office in Quorum Business Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Candidates should understand the importance of providing timely and accurate financial information and robust financial modelling as a basis for insightful analysis and operational data. Having an understanding of financial accounting, strong analytical and leadership skills. Playing a key role in our forecasting and budget cycles.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Own the forecasting and annual budget cycles, building and maintaining financial models
  • Establish rolling forecasting in the business, supporting actions that deliver on business strategy
  • Develop and own the business KPI reporting and feedback
  • Build a clear and thorough understanding of the business datasets, identifying gaps and solutions
  • Financial and business modelling, including full three statement, ROI, Acquisition assessment
  • Lead on analysis across the business, including commercial support, A/B testing and customer trends
  • Lead a multiskilled team with financial, analytical and BI skillsets
  • Partner with key departments across the business to support their delivery of data led decisions
  • Provide business insight in a timely manner, balancing speed of delivery with accuracy of reporting
  • Review of management information and ad hoc support in month end process
  • Key point of contact for board and external stakeholders
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience in financial modelling and rolling forecasting
  • Highly proficient Excel user
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to relate to a wide range of people at all levels
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • BI solution experience
  • Problem solver
  • Able to manage multiple priorities across own workload and the team, self-motivated and hands-on
  • Understanding of accounting principles
  • SQL proficient
