Head of Housekeeping Pelham House, Lewes, BN7 1UW A house like no other. After an extensive period of restoration, this exclusive use, 16th century townhouse, has been transformed into a luxurious Wedding and Events venue. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Head of Housekeeping to join our Team. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, have a passion for high standards and service, show calmness under pressure and be able to work in a small team. Experience in luxury accommodation/hotels would be of benefit. Benefits of working with us Flexible Hours Competitive rates of pay Uniform provided Staff food provided Company Pension Benefits and rewards system Employee Assistance programme Requirements • Must have experience of running a housekeeping team servicing at least 18 bedrooms & public areas • Hard working and fit to manage a physically demanding job • Ability to communicate and motivate people. Not just within the Housekeeping Team, but working closely with Reception, Maintenance and the Events Teams • Ability to work to deadlines and work efficiently under pressure • Honesty, reliability and trustworthiness • IT literacy. Usual Microsoft office applications and Bedroom system – Innstyle (training would be provided) • Enjoy working as part of a venue team • Must be eligible to work in the UK Outline of Responsibilities • Reporting to the General Manager • Full management of accommodation housekeeping team to meet the required standard of the Venue. • Daily supervision of housekeeping team, organising housekeeping reports, allocating priorities and tasks. Checking rooms are ready for guest occupancy. • Organising staff rotas, recruitment and training when necessary • Ordering and checking linen deliveries and supplies, ensuring quality & control • Ordering and re-stocking all cleaning materials and PPE where necessary and any other room consumables e.g. tea/coffee etc. whilst ensuring value for money • Health & safety training and implementation • Daily booking systems management, so some IT literacy required • Reporting any damage, reparation work that may be required • Lost property management Artemis is a company that is proud to provide the finest quality, modern British food and drink to high end wedding clients, across 15 beautiful, privately owned estates around the UK.
