Strategic Lead – Housing Needs, Private Sector Housing & Partnerships

South London (Hybrid)

We’re seeking an experienced senior housing leader to drive major transformation across Housing Needs, Private Sector Housing, homelessness prevention, and multi-agency partnerships. This role leads high-impact change programmes, improves housing outcomes, and shapes strategic services that support vulnerable households.

What you’ll do

• Lead transformation across Homelessness, Temporary Accommodation, Private Sector Housing and partnerships.
• Oversee service redesign to improve customer experience, strengthen prevention, and reduce reliance on Temporary Accommodation.
• Manage major programmes including Supported Housing procurement, TA reduction, nominations reviews, and service restructures.
• Lead the transfer, review, and improvement of Private Sector Housing functions.
• Build and run a new Homelessness Partnership Board.
• Drive cross-council collaboration across Adults, Children’s Services and Public Health.
• Ensure strong financial management, performance oversight, data quality, and compliance.

• In-depth knowledge of housing policy, homelessness legislation, and local authority frameworks.
