Job Title: Head of People Operations

Salary: £65,000

A purpose-led, founder-driven hospitality business in North/East London is seeking a Head of People Operations to lead and strengthen its HR function during an exciting period of growth.

This is a senior, hands-on role focused on building robust people operations while protecting a strong, values-driven culture.

The Role

• End-to-end HR operations, governance and UK employment law compliance
• Payroll, pay benchmarking, reward and benefits design
• Employee relations and complex case management
• HR metrics, reporting and workforce planning insight
• Line management of an HR Coordinator
• Designing and delivering manager training
• Streamlining processes to support scale and retention

Initially operational in focus, this role offers clear progression into broader strategic and SLT involvement as the business continues to grow.

About You

• Proven experience in a senior HR / People Operations role
• Strong UK employment law knowledge and ER capability
• Experience supporting a scaling organisation
• Hands-on payroll and benefits expertise
• Confident building policies, processes and reporting frameworks from the ground up
• Pragmatic, values-led and comfortable in a founder-led, non-corporate environment
