Overview We are seeking an experienced and forward‑thinking leader to head our Information Services function within the Performance and Information directorate within our Digital Transformation and Information function. Reporting to the Director of Performance and Information, this senior role is pivotal in shaping how high‑quality data, insight and intelligence support decision‑making across the Trust. Key Responsibilities As Head of Information Services, you will lead teams responsible for Data Quality, Clinical Coding, Contracting & CDS, and a highly skilled cohort of analysts. You will oversee the delivery of accurate statutory reporting, drive improvements in data quality, and champion the development of innovative BI solutions that strengthen clinical governance, operational performance, and strategic planning. The staff in this team largely work remotely and this is, therefore, a hybrid‑based role. Qualifications and Requirements
Deep specialist knowledge of NHS information management. Exceptional communication skills, able to communicate highly complex statistical data to a variety of audiences, both technical and non‑technical. Proven ability to lead teams and to formulate long‑term strategic plans. In-depth specialist knowledge of information management and performance in the NHS. Ability to interpret, draw conclusions from and implications of results from statistical, performance and public health analyses to a wide range of internal and external staff. Strong understanding of clinical coding classifications, coding standards and grouping rules within NHS contracting & commissioning.
