Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver the laboratory systems and engineering strategy aligned to research and organisational goals
• Lead the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of lab technology, automation, and IT infrastructure
• Ensure high availability, performance, and compliance of laboratory equipment and digital systems
• Partner with research leaders, IT teams, and vendors to deliver scalable, secure solutions
• Identify and introduce emerging lab technologies to enhance operational efficiency and scientific capability

What you’ll bring

• Proven leadership experience managing laboratory systems, engineering, or technical infrastructure in a research-intensive environment
• Deep understanding of lab technologies, automation platforms, and scientific IT systems (e.g. LIMS, data platforms, cloud infrastructure)
• Strong project management skills with experience delivering complex, large-scale initiatives
