Our client, a FTSE 100 is looking for an experienced Legal Operations professional to take a leading role in driving strategic projects across the legal function. This position is focused on improving efficiency, effectiveness, and overall impact through technology, data, and operational best practices.


This is a high-profile role that requires a unique blend of legal operations expertise, digital acumen, and strategic vision. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, be an effective and inspiring people leader, and excel in a fast-moving, complex, global environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic transformation initiatives as defined by the legal leadership team.
  • Develop and implement new capabilities and operational models with appropriate governance and reporting structures.
  • Oversee the adoption, optimisation, and management of legal technology platforms, including matter management, eBilling, contract lifecycle management, and emerging AI solutions.
  • Use data and management insights to support decision-making, track KPIs, measure outcomes, and ensure robust data governance and reporting.
  • Act as a key contributor within a shared services model, collaborating closely with governance and operations teams to ensure effective communication and delivery across the legal function.
  • Ensure legal operations processes comply with internal policies and external regulations, while identifying and mitigating legal, financial, and reputational risks.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in senior legal operations roles, with a proven record of managing complex, cross-functional transformation projects within large in-house legal teams.
  • Experience in a publicly listed company and/or a large multinational organisation.
  • Strong experience managing direct and indirect teams across multiple regions, collaborating with senior leadership and C-suite stakeholders, implementing multiple legal technology platforms, and overseeing external suppliers and panel law firms.
  • Excellent project management skills and proficiency in tools such as PowerApps, Power BI, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word.
  • Comfortable using legal analytics and reporting tools to generate insights and inform decision-making, with strong drafting and communication skills.
