A forward thinking quasi-public sector organisation is seeking an experienced lawyer to join them as interim Head of Legal. The post is expected to be for a minimum of 6 months, with a view to extend, and with the opportunity to lead to a permanent position.

The successful interim Head of Legal will be joining a large, dynamic organisation, leading an excellent team of lawyers. The team deals with a huge range of exciting projects for the Newcastle region.

Our client is seeking an experienced lawyer, with significant management experience, and ideally a background in commercial contracts and major projects, however the team also deal with other areas of law, such as property, litigation and employment. They are open to applicants from all sectors.

The interim Head of Legal will have 3-4 direct reports and will manage and nurture the team through a period of exciting transformation and expansion. The interim Head of Legal will also be expected to advise at governance meetings.

This is a hybrid role, with office attendance required 2-3 days a week. The modern offices are based in the heart of Newcastle, with stunning views and state-of-the-art technology.
