The Head of Marketing & PR will lead and deliver the strategic marketing and communications vision for the Wellington Estate’s diverse portfolio of businesses. This role is responsible for ensuring a consistent, compelling brand presence across multiple sectors while driving commercial performance, customer engagement, and reputation management.
The position oversees marketing strategy and execution across a range of established and growing businesses located on the Estate, including leisure, retail, hospitality, sport, education, and wellness. The successful candidate will ensure all marketing activity is aligned, measurable, and commercially effective.
The Head of Marketing & PR is a key member of the Estate’s Senior Leadership Team, contributing to wider strategic decision-making and helping shape the future direction and growth of the Estate and its businesses.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Marketing Leadership
Develop and implement a group-wide marketing and PR strategy across all Estate businesses.
Ensure a consistent brand identity and messaging across the portfolio while maintaining each brand’s individual character.
Identify opportunities to cross-promote businesses across the Estate and maximise visitor engagement.
Lead long-term marketing planning aligned with the Estate’s commercial and growth objectives.
Brand, Communications & PR
Manage the Estate’s brand reputation and public profile across all channels.
Develop and deliver PR campaigns, media relations, and brand storytelling.
Oversee communications, including press releases, editorial content, partnerships, and events.
Digital & Campaign Marketing
Lead digital marketing across websites, social media, email marketing, and paid campaigns.
Ensure marketing campaigns are data-driven, measurable, and ROI focused.
Monitor performance analytics and provide clear reporting.
Creative & Content Development
Oversee the creation of high-quality marketing materials, digital assets, and brand campaigns.
Ideally, contribute to graphic design and visual content creation when required.
Ensure consistent and high-quality visual identity across all brands.
Manage and develop the marketing team of five, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and strategic direction to the team.
Manage external agencies and marketing partners where required.
Commercial & Cross-Business Collaboration
Work closely with the General Managers of each business to understand commercial priorities.
Deliver targeted campaigns that drive footfall, bookings, and revenue growth.
Identify opportunities for cross-business advertising, collaboration and estate-wide initiatives.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior marketing leadership role.
Proven experience managing multiple brands, businesses, or business units.
Background in B2C marketing or within a marketing agency environment, managing multiple clients.
Experience leading and managing marketing teams.
Skills & Expertise
Strong strategic marketing and campaign planning ability.
Excellent PR, communications, and brand management experience.
Experience delivering digital and integrated marketing campaigns.
Strong analytical ability with experience measuring marketing performance and ROI.
Ability to work across multiple industries and audiences simultaneously.
Graphic design or creative skills (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite or similar) would be very advantageous.
Proficiency in marketing and content platforms such as Canva, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, WordPress and Google platforms.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Full-time, Monday – Friday.
On-site role, no hybrid working.
The role may require occasional work outside standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
A full driver’s licence is essential.
