Head of Operations (Renewables) (Electrical Qualified Supervisor / Operations Manager) Location: High Wycombe (Office-based) Salary: £46,800 - £52,000 per annum (DOE) Example Recruitment Group Ltd is currently working on behalf of a well‑established and growing renewable energy business to recruit an experienced Head of Operations (Renewables). This is a senior leadership role with a strong technical bias, ideal for an Electrical Qualified Supervisor (QS) with operational management experience — or a senior QS looking to step into a broader leadership role. They are also open to considering high‑calibre Electrical QS candidates who may not yet have full senior management experience but demonstrate the capability and ambition to develop into this position. Salary would be reflective of experience. The Role This is a strategic, hands‑on leadership position responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the company's expanding renewable energy services. The successful candidate will ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, high‑quality delivery, and excellent customer satisfaction across electrical renewable projects. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and service quality.Oversee day‑to‑day operations in line with company objectives. Team Management Lead, motivate, and manage technical and support teams.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Financial Oversight Monitor operational costs and identify efficiencies without compromising quality. Quality & Compliance Ensure all works meet required quality, safety, and regulatory standards.Lead audits, inspections, and performance reviews.Act as Electrical Qualified Supervisor with accreditation bodies (e.g. NICEIC/NAPIT). Customer & Stakeholder Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.Proactively resolve issues and improve customer experience. Process Improvement Streamline systems and operational processes.Use data and technology to support performance and decision‑making. Strategic Planning Work closely with senior leadership on long‑term growth of the renewables division.Stay informed on industry developments and market trends. Training & Development Identify skills gaps and implement training programmes.Support professional development and career progression within the team. Essential Qualifications & Experience NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).Inspection & Testing qualification (City & Guilds #removed#/52 or equivalent).Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or responsible electrical role.Ability to pass QS assessment with NICEIC or NAPIT.Strong working knowledge of electrical renewable systems. Desirable ECS Gold Card.Experience across multiple renewable technologies.Previous operational or departmental management experience. Why Apply?
