We are recruiting for them:

• Head of Operations: £80,000 – £100,000 per year.
• On-site SOUTH BUCKINGHAMS/EAST BERKSHIRE BORDER.

This is a senior, hands-on operational leadership role in a business that delivers complex, physical, time-critical work for some of the most exciting productions and live environments in the world.

• This is not a desk-based operations role.
• This is not a theory role.
• This is about grip, delivery and leadership.

This is a newly created Head of Operations role, designed to bring immediate operational strength into an established, highly respected business.

The organisation has grown through craft, reputation and delivery. It now needs a senior operator who can:

• Take real ownership of day-to-day operations
• Bring structure, clarity and calm into a fast-moving environment
• Lead people, assets and workflows across a physical, site-based operation
• Be visible, trusted and credible with teams on the ground

There is scope to improve systems and processes over time, but Phase 1 is about getting the day job done.

What you’ll actually be doing:

This role is about operational leadership in the real world, not designing frameworks from afar.

You will be:

• Leading day-to-day operational delivery across site, logistics, inventory and projects
• Being present on site, with teams, suppliers and managers
• Owning operational planning, prioritisation and problem-solving
• Bringing discipline to stock, assets, scheduling and people deployment
• Managing permanent staff, contractors and flexible labour
• Ensuring work is delivered safely, reliably and on time
• Creating stability first, then improving how things work

Over time, you’ll also have the chance to:

• Introduce pragmatic process improvements
• Improve visibility and reporting where it genuinely helps
• Lay foundations for future systemisation and scalability

The type of background we’re looking for - We say this, based on knowing the role, and which industries face the same demands:

We are deliberately targeting hands-on operational leaders from environments such as:

• Agri, land management or estates
• Modern mid-size manufacturing or factory operations
• Asset-heavy, site-based or logistics-led businesses
• Construction-adjacent or project-based physical operations

You’ll likely have a passion and be able to demonstrate:

• Supply chain and inventory control
• Managing people in operational, site-based environments
• Working without perfect data or systems
• Making decisions under pressure
• Improving how things run while still delivering every day

You might currently be known as, for example, Head of Operations, Operations Manager, Site Operations Lead, Factory Manager or similar.

What we are really looking for is to speak to people who can demonstrate a passion for:

• Being a Head of who is comfortable being hands-on
• Leading from the floor, not just from meetings
• Bringing calm, structure and accountability
• Pragmatism
• Earning trust quickly in operational teams
