Head of Private Client / Senior Private Client Solicitor An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to step into a Head of Department / senior leadership role within a well-regarded and expanding law firm. This role would suit a senior fee earner who is already leading a team, or an ambitious Private Client specialist ready to take the next step into departmental leadership. The Role

Take overall responsibility for the management, development and strategic growth of the Private Client department. Lead and mentor a team of solicitors, legal executives and support staff. Oversee complex private client matters, including high-value estates and trusts. Handle advanced wills, estate planning and IHT mitigation. Manage probate matters, including taxable estates. Advising on trusts, Court of Protection and succession planning. Drive business development and strengthen referral networks. Contribute to firm-wide strategy alongside senior management. Ensure compliance, risk management and service excellence.

The Ideal Candidate

Senior Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive with strong technical expertise across private client work. Proven leadership or supervisory experience (or readiness to step up). Commercially minded with a client-focused approach. Confident in business development and relationship management. STEP membership or working towards (desirable).
