Head of Procurement

Full time, 18 Month Fixed Term Contract

Location – Flexible: Selby, London, Ipswich

Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 Depending On Experience

About the role: As the Head of Procurement at Drax, you’ll devise, implement, and manage the operational delivery of our procurement framework to support our global procurement strategy. The focus will be on IT-related categories such as hardware, software, professional services, cybersecurity, and telecommunications. You will lead the procurement team supporting UK power generation, ensuring effective workload management, tendering, negotiation, contract management, and collaboration with business colleagues to ensure procure-to-pay processes and policies are effective. Additionally, you will partner with stakeholders to co-create 3-5 year strategic procurement plans, including safeguarding supply chains and supporting the annual budgeting process. This role also includes line management responsibilities.

Who we’re looking for: Ideally, you will be MCIPS qualified with extensive experience in a similar role, demonstrating end-to-end procurement lifecycle management and process improvement. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills are essential. You should be committed to delivering prompt, efficient service and thrive in a fast-paced environment, passionate about strategic leadership and making a positive impact.
