Direct message the job poster from Escape Recruitment ServicesPrincipal Recruitment Consultant specialising in Procurement & Supply Chain RecruitmentOur Public Sector Client is looking to appoint an ambitious and experienced Public Sector Procurement Professional who will head up Procurement Team.The Head of Procurement will manage and mentor the Procurement team and will build relationships and deliver procurement projects across a broad spread of commodity ownership including Estates, IT & Technology, Insurance, Audit, Finance Systems, IT etc.Responsibilities of the role include:Establish & Maintain the Procurement Strategy and the annual Procurement ReportDevelop and build relationships with a network of key stakeholders who have procurement requirements to support their business operation or departmentManage Supplier Relationships and contractsUndertake appropriate spend analysis activity and manage the tender process of supplies/services and deliver the tender process for above-regulated spend areasMentor and develop colleagues in managing the process for lower level spend.Develop procurement processes based on the "Procurement Journey" and deliver focused procurement awareness training to stakeholdersDrive sustainable and responsible procurement practiceUndertake and deliver reporting to key stakeholdersKnowledge and experience required for the role:You will have proven experience working in Public Sector ProcurementBe experienced in managing and mentoring a team to deliver successHave significant knowledge of Scottish/UK procurement legislationBe experienced in tendering within a regulated environment Public Contracts (Scotland) and PRA(Scotland) Act.Have a considerable understanding of the key ethical/social & environmental impacts of procurementExperience with project management processes and meeting demanding targets and deadlinesUnderstand the importance of delivering a First-Class procurement service to StakeholdersEnjoy building successful and strong working relationships with Stakeholders/CustomersFor more information, please send your CV today…Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionIndustries: Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, and Fabricated Metal Products #J-18808-Ljbffr
