This is a rare and senior opportunity for a Head of Property Litigation to lead and develop an established and highly regarded Property Litigation department within a successful and growing law firm.

This role offers far more than managing a caseload. You will take full ownership of the departments strategic direction, performance, and continued growth.

You will work closely with senior leadership to shape the future of the property litigation offering, while leading, mentoring, and developing a team of lawyers at varying stages of their careers.

This position will suit an experienced Property Litigation Solicitor with proven leadership capability who wants to step into a role where their influence, decisions, and leadership will have a direct impact.

As Head of Property Litigation, you will:

• Lead and manage the Property Litigation department.

• Develop and implement departmental strategy aligned with wider firm objectives.

• Manage departmental performance, financial targets, and KPIs.

• Supervise, mentor, and develop solicitors within the team.

• Maintain and grow a high quality property litigation caseload.

• Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.

• Drive business development and contribute to departmental growth.

• Improve systems, processes, and operational efficiency.

• Support recruitment and expansion of the team.

You will oversee and handle a range of high quality property litigation matters, including:

• Commercial landlord and tenant disputes

• Residential landlord and tenant disputes

• Possession claims

• Lease disputes

• Property contract disputes

• Development related disputes

This role requires genuine leadership capability.

You will be trusted to lead the department, improve performance, support team members, and contribute to the wider success of the firm.

You will play a key role in shaping the departments future direction.

To be considered for this Head of Property Litigation role, you will have:

• Qualification as a Solicitor in England and Wales or equivalent.

• Significant experience in Property Litigation.

• Proven experience managing or supervising a team.

• Experience handling complex property litigation matters.

• Strong leadership and decision making capability.

• Experience contributing to business development and departmental growth.

• Strong commercial awareness.

• Ambition to operate at senior leadership level.
