The Role

This is a new position created to drive and maximise income from the sale of events, sponsorships and other commercial drivers at the clubs. The successful candidate will be charged with identifying and securing events (corporate, private, community, tournaments and competitions) as well as sponsorships (multi-club and individual club). He/she will also be charged with improving and maximising income from other income drivers (court pricing, membership, secondary spend).

Role Overview

Event Sales

  • Pitch, sell and manage corporate and private bookings (corporate days, client days, team-building days, inter-company events, industry gatherings etc)
  • Identify and secure tournaments and competitions to be played at venues
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline, from lead gen to contract close across all sites
  • Design and promote events to existing players
  • Follow up post event to ensure repeat purchase
  • Proactively identify new opportunities and areas for sales


Sponsorship & Brand Partnerships

  • Create bespoke sponsor packages across physical sites and digital platforms
  • Identify and pitch to aligned brands and local businesses
  • Secure and contract partnerships, and in time upsell to greater value
  • Own the relationship and the delivery of agreed activations with sponsors/partners
  • Find sponsors for existing events and activities taking place at clubs (tournaments, summer parties etc)
  • Consider what other sponsor assets to include or create (eg greater inventory, digital screens)


Event Planning & Execution

  • Coordinate with site teams and external suppliers to deliver high-quality events
  • Manage logistics, staffing needs, and customer follow-up
  • Ensure events are commercially successful and repeatable
  • Ensure operational consistency in customer experience during events


Other income drivers

  • Assist the CEO and Centre Managers in benchmarking, evaluating and agreeing price points and annual increase for:
  • Membership (standard, premium)
  • Evaluate and, where relevant, recommend other membership options that will deliver greater value
  • Court pricing (peak, off-peak). Consider other pricing options
  • Activity pricing (coaching, programmes, socials, events)
  • Secondary spend: F&B, retail (rental and sale), merchandise


Strategic & Operational Input

  • Develop and implement nationwide sales & events strategy for current and upcoming venues
  • Help develop the events and partnerships roadmap alongside the Executive team
  • Monitor performance against revenue targets and prepare basic reporting
  • Refine commercial assets and brand offering over time
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaigns to support sales targets and brand growth
  • Work alongside Centre Managers and staff to build a strong event programme and offer
  • Build and maintain thorough CRM platform


The Candidate

Must Have

  • 4+ years’ experience in sales, partnerships, or commercial events (preferably in sport, hospitality or lifestyle)
  • Proven track record of closing deals and hitting commercial targets
  • Excellent stakeholder & partner relationship-building ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, entrepreneurial, proactive and confident working solo
  • Strong organisational, financial, budgeting and project management skills
  • A natural people person – positive, enthusiastic, personable, highly credible and energetic
  • Someone who works hard, gets things done and delivers. A can-do, will-do attitude

  • Strong network of existing companies and contacts
